So many times on the hub we hear negative things and how bad service is in wonderful South Africa. I just discovered that service still exists, but service that simply blew my mind. I have finally convinced my boss (aka wife) that a new bike is just perfect to address any midlife crisis. So I started this endeavour to find a bike just to find out that stock (Scott 900 RC Spark World Cup) is more scarce than good service in a government department. I live in Gautengeleng and stumbled upon a shop in Cape Town called Olympic Cycles. There I met a person by the name of Mac. From the word go he redefined the word service. Actually no..he perfected it! I have never ever had such a pleasant experience buying something online. Although they too had no stock, a bike was on back order. I received updates regularly, during the day and night. I knew what was happening all of the time. And the best of it...most of the updates were whilst Mac was on leave! Unbelievable! Mac might as well have traveled with the bike and delivered it personally. I felt like a true VIP! 

 

To Olympic Cycles...you have set the standard on service. You should lead and allow other shops to follow! Thank you for such a pleasant buying experience. Thank you for ensuring I was happy 24x7. Please do keep up your level of service and I can only hope my words convince others to buy from you too!

Awesome news and good story. Olympic is one of my LBS and I've always been treated very well there. They have often gone the extra mile and more to sort something out and have gone into battle for me on warranty issues that involved alot of leg work and no financial gain from the result either way.

I received my Scott yesterday and one part must have been damaged in transit (rotor bent)..no questions asked and a new one shipped overnight! Arrived early this morning...and yet again..they go the extra mile!! Man.I wish I can make them my LBS...

 

And yes the Scott makes me drool just looking at it
