HBO Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 N4 coming back sounds like the perfect stretch for the bigger guys to sit on the front and pull hehe, well at least we will go at a pace I could handle then
Eon du Plessis Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 going to be great to have a race right on our door step, no need to wake up at 3AM to get to the start..Get it right the first year and I think this race will grow nicely.. ;-)Yep, can't wait. For once I can ride to the start from my home, and that's exactly what I'll do. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Frosty Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 A little bird told me (this evening) that this event hasn't received official sanctioned (yet)...
bertusras Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 Question about this. I've received a notice that my CSA licence expires just before this event. Do I bother to renew considering the shenanigans going on?

Pieter-za Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017 Enter all the races currently available online, before your "membership" expires then you won't have to pay the day licence fee. I was under the impression the principle is that the license (year / day) needs to be valid on the day (date) of the event, and not when entering?

If its CSA membership it wont.
Bateleur1 Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017 Normally CSA lic membership might be checked at number collection.
Lostee Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017 A little bird told me (this evening) that this event hasn't received official sanctioned (yet)... Interesting... Like the "full road closure" in your region in May next year?
JA-Q001 Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017 Interesting... Like the "full road closure" in your region in May next year? Hopefully not another L'etape
Tristand Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017 Hopefully not another L'etape Doubt it. ASG is the organiser and they have a great deal of experience organising races.
Frosty Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017 ASG might have experience organizing events, but full road closure is not something they have done before. Some of the action points for full road closure are outstanding, hence the reason the sanctioning hasn’t been finalised yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Pieter-za Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017 Update on road closures : http://tshwaneclassic.co.za/?utm_source=Events%20GLOBAL&utm_campaign=f21febd420-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2017_06_23&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_f5a7fda60b-f21febd420-332252657 Over 4000 entrants so far according to today's newsletter.
