So it's official Tommy D is moving over to Jumbo Visma next season!

Man that is looking a hell of a strong squad for the next few seasons. Only issue they might face is the old conundrum of too many captains for the Grand tours going around.

I reckon that they're actually quite clear on who the leader is and who is supposed to support him. Jumbo has been clear that Roglic will be the leader at this year's Vuelta so I expect that when Tom joins next season that they will continue to do so when they announce their GT squads. Makes it easier on everyone.

Bennett, StevieK, TomD and the former ski jumper. 4 potentials and 3 GTs. I'm guessing they will Send Tommy to one (route dependant being the giro or TdF) then Primoz will get another one and they'll throw Bennett and StevieK as 'dual leaders' for the left over if they haven't been convinced to jump behind the leaders in the Giro or Tour. You could tell Bennett wasn't overly happy playing super dom' recently so maybe he'll start thinking about moving to a different team. Looking at their roster also have Kuss, WVA, Powless, MikeT, DylanG and TonyM showing some real depth / talent in that team.

Definitely my favourite team at the moment.

Look whoever the leader/s will be at the various GT's they'll have strong support. However good communication over who is the leader and his support staf is going to be key. How exactly they will balance things out is going to be tricky for sure and a lot will rely on the main guys individual targets for the year and to work it from there. If they get it right they could be as successful as Bora has been this year (points jerseys in both Giro and TdF along with high placing in GC for their GC guy) so far. Easy to say, going to be hard to do in practice.

For sure, I'm suddenly super pumped about the GT's again for next year.

A couple of teams with some good GC talent. Going to be interesting for sure.

Just got this in an email. I didn't see this one coming, tbh.

Let's all hope the rebranding to NTT brings some new faces and new luck to the team, would love for them to relive the 2016 heydays.

Super left field but maybe they are banking on trying to hover up all the prologues and ITTs going to secure more points / wins. Not a bad tactic.

Their coach was talking to Cycling Podcast last week, and he made it clear they are building a team capable of winning GTs, and they will go with one leader and plenty of strong GC domestiques.

The next question was asked, what about Dylan? He'll probably get one lead out man, but is strong enough to wing it on his own, a la Sagan-style.

Gonna be fun season in 2020 for sure!
