seat post stuck

I know exactly what a monkey wrench is, I'm just struggling to picture the kind of monster that would use one on a poor innocent bicycle!

I was desperate, it worked though and only scratched the seat post. It really was stuck tight. I still use the seat post, it is a bike that I bought in 1992. Still have it.

I have the same problem, but it is a carbon seatpost in an aluminium frame. Have tried everything except the coke idea.

Stillson wrench is the correct name

Not like I'm nitpicking or anything...

Or 'n verstelbare pyp-sleutel :-)

And in case anyone is wondering

A shifting spanner is 'n verstelbare moer-sleutel.......

Make sure you have an old seat on that seatpost, they offer the best leverage.

If it moves then it should just be a case of getting a lubricant/solvent down there and working it out.

English could never explain it like that... Love Afrikaans
