how's mom & dad doing?

Haha, shame!  Spare a thought for them.  Little Miss has them up all hours of the night for hours on end.  They are dog tired and both work.

I think things will improve once they can start her on baby food.  This will be at 9 months when her corrected age will be 6 months.  She currently weighs just 5.7kg - less than our biggest cat!

solids make a big difference. we started our little one just after 6 months, she actually started "exploring" herself and grabbed at food so we thought we'd slowly introduce.

it cured her reflux and the need for constant feeds

wow thats tiny!

My 3 and half month daughter weight 6 kg at her 10 week weighing.

Yes, it isn't that obvious in the pictures, but she is really small.  Take into account that she was supposed to be 6 months old only now, that she was a twin and all the trauma her little body was subjected to and I guess those are the reasons.  She still wears some of her 0-3 month clothes.

We are just so grateful that the paediatrician has not detected any deficits.  Also, she goes to a kind of daycare with a limited number of babies where they have special play-sessions to stimulate their minds, senses and development in general.  She loves her "teacher" and is very excited to see her in the mornings.

We started with porridge for the babies when they were only 5 months old (corrected age 4 months)

They loved it..

Slept better and suddenly became fat kids!

Fat kids = happy kids = better sleeping kids = happy parents

I guess it depends on each prem's medical history.  At first Karmi could not even digest milk.  She still isn't the best "eater".  The paediatrician strictly forbade any solids before 6 months corrected age.  Luckily there is just one month to go!

Im sure she will adjust with time. Each one of us is unique and unfortunately she had a rough start. She looks happy and i'm sure that once she starts sleeping better parents will be happy.

Big news and a huge leap forward: Karmi had her first solid food today! The greedy little gobbler took to eating like a duck to water. Luckily mom had a good grip on that spoon! :D

EDIT: I apologise for the small video size - took it off WA.
