They'll then say that they don't do repairs, only out of warranty exchanges which you then opt to do. They'll tell you to bring/send the 500 in, pay the difference of roughly R1500 and get a brand new Garmin 520 in return, in the box. I know, because this is what I did. Got a Garmin 500 for free from a friend. Now I have a new 520, with warranty. Yaay for Navworld. And flipping kudos to Vetseun for being a legend.And this why we pay R13500 locally vs R9000 in the US for Fenix 5x Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

We also recently experienced some Credit Card fraud and there might be some cheap Garmin Fenix 3 units floating around the internet at very attractive prices.
