Riding with a Prologo Evo TRI 40 at the moment but my nether region is going numb at about 50-60km.

I ride a Fizik Arione VS with the centre channel on my road and mtb bikes currently with no issues.

Looking at a Tri saddle with the cutouts and 3 that i like so far are the Fabric Tri flat,Fizik Mistika and ISM Road.

Anything else to try or should be looking at?

I have the ISM Adamo you have in the pic above. It takes a while to 'bruise-in' the different area you sit on but after a while its really good for getting you in a great tri position.

I have though been thinking about trying out a different version of ISM saddle. I wonder if they can be more comfortable because mine still feels quite firm.

How long have you been on it for?

It felt like one of the better padded saddles out the lot.

Heard good things of Cobb but they just too pricy.

I cycled most weekends from about 6 months before this years Ironman. That's about when I bought the bike and saddle. So there were quite a few things to get used to.

Only now I'm starting to get back on the bike again, so I have to break it in and I suppose my questioning the saddle comfort is just looking for a short cut to spending some 'quality time' on my a$$.

I've also heard Cobb is the business, but as you say - double the price...

I moved from a Rolls saddle (don't know why) to the Adamo pictured and I am very happy with it. I positioned it as far back as my measurements would allow and some more. I am more than happy with it.

It takes time to get it right and to get used to it. I find it as comfortable as my Brooks on the other bike.

Just get used to it, especially when new.

These are my findings and I have tried many saddles, including Cobb.

Guess this does not help much but the Adamo definitely works for me and may not work for others. Everybody (pun intended)is different.

Currently I've got the Adamo Time Trail on both my road and TT bike.

The only thing i found (not to like) was that it felt a bit to wide in the front by a few mm, fixed by tightening a large cable tie around the forward part of the rails to pull the front a bit together.

Ja i know Adamo say you should not do this

Find it great in the TT position

A saddle is something very specific from person to person. I was battling like crazy with numbness and bladder infections. Could't sit on my bike for longer than 20km and I was in agony. I moved over to the Adamo ISM and could ride 70km with very little discomfort towards the end. I maybe get a little sit bone pain after the ride, but after the issues I had, it's nothing. Busy working up towards my first century, and I have no worries about saddle issues.

I picked up a second hand one that was pretty much new for R1500. Maybe try see if your LBS has test saddles before you put down money.

I have the ISM Adamo Attack - fantastic saddle and didn't even need time to get used to it, been comfortable from day 1.  I see the new model is the PN1.0

Like everyone says-saddles are very personal so most information is personal and unfortunately anecdotal. My experience was with ISM Adamo and I must say I wasnt comfortable-the nose piece was just to soft and tended to compact and place pressure in the front. I tend to like harder saddles like Selle and currently have a Selle Iron on my Tri Bike and Selle on my road bike.

Heard some good stuff about FIZIK Tri saddle but have Fizik on my MTB and it hurts my ass-so sceptical. Also read some good revies on FABRIC Saddles but I think they are not available in SA

Currently riding a Prologo Tgale and loving it. Had a few variations of the Adamo in the past, and also struggled with the Time Trial version being too wide at the nose. I found the PN 1.1 quite nice.

ISM is a very poplar saddle Those who are comfortable on them, swear by them.

The Cobb Fifty-Five is only 55mm wide at the nose vs 70mm on the ISM.

The COBB PLUS is only 40mm at the nose. (often suggested as a second option to the Fifty Five)

Pop past the Orca/Orbea concept store in Morningside and we'll organise a DEMO for you.

The concept store at Cycle Tech?
