That was just crazy by that rider. I def would not attempt that even if I was paid!!

Not agreeing with his actions, but he would only kill or injure himself.

Texting drivers on the other hand kill others.

And Ebola kills many more. But that’s not the point of the thread. We can’t “whataboutery” each time an issue gets raised.

Agree with what you are saying....but what about the idiot drivers ? Is there a forum where you report and shame them when you do have your dashcam going?

Whataboutism at its finest...

Don't even get me started on that. Very tempting to start a legendary Friday thread on a local 4X4 forum about texting drivers that hold everybody up at traffic lights etc.

Hello Friday!

my old friend

I've come to talk with you again

Because a vision softly creeping

Left its seeds while I was sleeping

And the vision that was planted in my brain

Still remains

Within the sound of Friday!

To the person riding a yellow road bike, wearing Black speeding and weaving between the traffic going down (out of Town past Groote Schuur) Hospital Bend at 17h05 today.

You sir _______(insert appropriate here) are not worthy of being on any type of bicycle!!

What you did is completely idiotic and you among others are the reason and cause why motorists hate cyclists.

I wish I had my dashcam today, this person is most likely a hubber

You sound like a shrivelled up granny with wet pants. What's wrong with legally riding on a stretch of public road? It's each rider's decision whether they can handle the traffic conditions or not. I've cycled down that section a few times myself - it's not pleasant, but can be done safely. You need to watch the traffic like a hawk, be assertive and make yourself visible. Pretty standard stuff.

Maybe you need to get out more?

p.s. this is a serious post, I'm not trolling (even thought it's Friday). I'm just sick and tired of cyclists shouting at other cyclists. The more of us on the road the better, full stop. Live and let live a little.

there is a difference between having an "open mind" and not "using your mind" at all

I just dont see anyone doing anything about texting drivers and general crap illegal driving.

I only every see people moan about cyclist doing this and cyclist doing that....a cyclist breaking the law does not kill anyone .... but.......

Who are we to judge mr yellow bike - maybe it was Danny McAskil shooting a new movie? Having an open mind means allowing for the possibility that you may be wrong and then moderating your judgement.

It's up to the observer to have an open mind; and for the risk taker to use their mind.

OR .... an open mind is what you get when you hit the pavement after riding a yellow bike in heavy traffic ....

But that is HIS choice.

Why do people judge this riding so quickly, when his actions can only hurt HIM?

And no one says or does anything about the people who can potentially KILL you ?

Please explain the logic to me!
