You should all take good hard look at yourselfs. The way you are carrying on is not going to solve anything.

Calm down, take deep breaths and try to be constructive.

Does every damn thing always have to turn into “you a knob, no you a knob for calling me a knob, how dare you use the word knob it’s offensive, I don’t care that you are offended cause I’m not PC, screw you you racist, Hitler!” thread?

YOU calm down and stop telling other people to calm down!! hahahaha

As we all know, never in the history of calming down has anyone ever calmed down when told to calm down!

I do laugh at people who revert to name calling and abuse though. Those who were never taught the difference between a discussion and an argument...

What! The corner on boulders has been butchered?! That was and has always been rad.

There is hope... I rode it again yesterday and I'm happy to report I ended up stuck in a bush. That little corner will start testing skills again in no time.

The sinner is probably not reading this thread as he is re-arranging rock-gardens.

In case ....

A lot of planning, time, money, manpower, expertise, and what have you goes into trail building and the upkeep of it.

I want to believe the trail-builder had something specifically in mind when he left, removed or manicured something on his trail. This is purpose designed, and bares his signature (same as some gholf courses, right!?). Altering the trail (unless life threatening, in which case i believe those guys responsible for the built/upkeep will close and open the trail as deemed necessary) is the same as when you decide screw Leonardo da Vinci, he did a pretty *** job on the Mona Lisa mouth, you will sommer change it yourself.

Another champion here, just move the rock back, have a coke and a smile and shut the f*** up.

I will keep an eye out for you on the red bull channel.

Or, just don't change the trail. Repeat it. Over and over again. So that you can progress in skill.

Then you can have your marathon cake and eat the tech as well.

I'm with you here.'Dumbing it down' happens all too often. I've always enjoyed the challenge of that last corner ascending boulders.

That said, boulders used to be a great trail. Post fire its the one bit of tokai trail that I don't really enjoy anymore. All the others are as good or better than they were before.

The problem with boulders now, is that it doesn't have any more trees. And imo that first climb / detour (from the junction up) breaks me. Cos it's a threshold effort If I want it to be fun.

But the trees absence makes it difficult. The fire makes it even more so, as it changed the dirt from hero to zero. Mehness ensued. Creativity was required. And what used to be a bloody nice traverse became more work. Mainly due to the change in soil type. It's now sandy AF. Thanks, fire. Thanks.

Having said that, it's now challenging in its own way. Change is a constant. We just need to ensure it's positive.

We rode up Ben's bomb and dropped into Tokai via Silvermine yesterday evening.

Boulders is still rad. Pity 'the corner' has been changed, but I think the new start from the bottom is getting tricky. Is it only a matter of time before somebody removes the diamond shaped white rock on the first corner?!

All in all the trails are riding amazingly... Lower Vasbyt is a bit sandy but should bed in winter. I seem to recall it being sandy almost 20 years ago though. I miss the boardwalk drop right into the middle of a sandpit!
