The 350 Vibracore rims are also coming out... these look pretty cool too. I had some vibrocore bars and they were the boobs...

What do you have at the moment? If its 25mm wide, just stay as is. A decent set of grippy tyres will make far more sense than going semi fat IMO. (I'm on 29mm rims with 2.6 tyres on one of my bikes and I'm not convinced yet)

Think they're around 25mm inner width so for now they'll do but I did fit foamos and I'm impressed, I enjoy rocky stuff a lot more now running my tyres round 20psi... I'm a light weight

82kgs... of pure honed 6 pack (of beer). That's for most of the trails around here (tokai etc). If I'm going to hit some where nasty and rocky I'll up the pressure for sure but most of the time it's 18 - 20psi both ends.

I'm riding Conters after work today. Going to experiment with 1.8 back and 1.6 front. If I get a flat I'm going to vloek you...

I went the chainreaction route with the Hope hubs. Dealing with International Trade is tedious - expensive and don't always have stock. I got the hubs here at less than half the price I could get them in SA.

Nothing to add to this thread but can second the Vibrocore Bars. They are brilliant!! Running them on my rigid SS, Rapide 25mm in the front with a 1.7bar Barzo. Awesome combo indeed!!

Tyre pressure also depends on riding style, if you ride reasonably hard and hit drop offs/jumps not-so-perfectly 20psi is going to ding rim. I run 32psi on the rear (at 80kg), 35mm internal rims with 2.4 DHR. My front I run at 20 or so psi.

Jeez, when ever I've actually contacted Int' Trade they are super difficult and really don't want to talk to the public. I tried for ages to get an adapter kit from them and in the end I contacted Spank directly and told them of my frustrations at being treated like an annoyance. Was super surprised to get an email off Gavin Vos, they went to work and shipped me a kit which arrived and was installed before the local guys had even confirmed price and an ETA for them to get it. They got me as a customer then and there...

I don’t do drops & jumps really , we don’t have much t our local trials. But there is lot of rock eating carbon . So bought some 36mm internal ally and maxxis dhr & dhf. Run the front at 1.0 bar & rear at 1.2 on a digital pressure gauge as my pump reading is way of. I only weigh 78kg though.

To be honest they still don’t feel that soft . Possibly because the casing is dd not sure really. But it works for me . Very seldom feel any rock connections through the rim .

Am sure if i did ( or could even do) more gnarly jumps & drops would have to pump harder . But for the terrain up here it generally feels ok.

Am not convinced the gauge is that accurate.

Unfortunately you aren't the first to receive that treatment from Int Trade.

That's some awesome customer service from Spank. I really like the company and will continue supporting them (through Chainreaction cycles) . Just kinda wished those Vibro Core rims were out when I bought, the look very interesting!

100%. Love the brand and the products just representation here is shocking. I know, I was amping to get those vibrocore rims but bad timing means I've had to get different ones.

I love SPANK goodies. Got an all-spank cockpit at the moment. Spike 35mm stem & Spike 50mm rise bars.

Also, just couldn't get the 395's locally at the time in the colour I wanted, so had to go offshore, and the WTB ASYMs were just so much cheaper. And I like the idea of asymmetrical rim profiles.

Spank must be one of the best value for money brands full stop. Quality at an affordable price .
