I am trying to revive an old set of XTR M9000 pedals and am missing a couple of bearings - don't ask they are tiny.

Does anyone have an old pair of broken shimano pedals where I can salvage some internals to rebuild these? I am looking for pretty much anything - seals, bearings - maybe even a spindle if possible - but at a minimum I just need a few of those tiny bearings.

Are you looking for the "loose balls" ?

Most bearing shops sells packets of these in different sizes.  As long as you have one of those, then they can measure and check if they can help you.

I have been using West Cape Bearing in Brackenfell for last couple of years.

Just google for "bearing man" in your area

Most old school bike shops can also help.

Curious; where will you be donating it to?
Cheers

I haven’t thought that far yet. Probably an helper at our complex. Open to suggestions?

New Specialized seatposts from the bike shop normally come out the box with the saddle rail clamps for both the "CARBON" (oval) rails and the "ALLOY" (for round rails) adapters/clamps for whichever seatpost rails are on the saddle. I have recently changed from a saddle with carbon rails to one with alloy rails, and I now need the round adapter for the round/alloy saddle rails. I really don't want to buy a new set from Specialized which both sets of adapters when all I need is the adapters for the Round/Alloy saddle rails. I'm hoping someone has a spare set of clamps for the Alloy rails lying around after fitting new clamps for their Carbon Rails.

Hi

recently bought a set of Equinox Carbon rim brake, sent the rear wheel in for truing only to receive a wonky wheel with a crack in the hoop back.

If anyone has a 40mm/50mm carbon hoop, 24H that they are no longer using please let me know.

TIA

Try Solomons Pretoria North. They had two or three random NOS Equinox wheels maybe they will work a good deal on the old stock.

Not something that will be thrown away but looking for:

Cane Creek Thudbuster

Preferably in 31.6 but can shim if necessary. Fine if it’s been cut as the bike has a very shallow seat tube

Budget up to R1000 but ideally less 😂 for a mate who is a student
