Experience with CRC's move from DHL to SkyNet?

I often order from CRC and gets sent to my front door in Hong Kong. On average 3 or 4 days and that's with SkyNet. So it may not be a actual CRC problem but more so just another problem in SA

please.

as mentioned you can order via UPS and have your crap within 3 days at your door too in SA from the UK or the US (merlin or Jenson). it is a skynet SA/ SAPO issue with CRC.

CRC order placed 30 Sep.

Delivered 9 October.

Seems there may be some hope.! :D

If you don't mind me asking, what was the admin fee?

OK so this is not CRC... it’s Jenson and UPS. I have an order parked at customs since it arrived 5 days ago waiting for clearance due to a missing commercial Invoice. WTF??

I’ve emailed Jenson about this on a general email address as I can’t see who/where to contact. Anyone have a local UPS contact, or suggestion? I haven’t had time to chase but am getting a bit meh (!) about this considering what I paid for UPS service on a small parcel. SkyNet at least I had a contact for and a human responded... maybe UPS could do the same??

yea that can suck...totally Jenson's fault. Wasn't the invoice also emailed to you when you ordered? I used that version on my last online buy through aramex for frame dropouts and it was fine.

Had a similar issue with my last Canyon that I imported, called this number got given an email address that I sent the invoice to and then it got sorted in a few days.

I ordered from crc twice over the last 3 weeks and both items arrived at my front door within 5 days. I have no reason to complain. Heck, some of my local purchases take longer than that.

Found a UPS local address have messaged both them and Jenson.

Will see what they both say about why they haven’t connected the wires between them. Been watching this like a very slow train smash - or a reflection of my brain imploding ????

Just haven’t had time to prod it to see what happens next!!

Ironically my previous service from CRC and SkyNet proved faster!! (Somehow though I wonder if this is SA customs??)

So... I'm in battle mode with UPS.

What I can say is that I am NOT impressed.

My saga with UPS continues. I’ll spare the details but between them and customs, I’m still waiting. Just had a call to ask what’s in the package. FFS.

It’s been at Kempton Park since last Monday morning. ????

Pathetic i could not get a Tacx Bushido from them in two months eventually they refunded me and i bought kickr locally .

 

first they said the parcel was too dense.

second trainer was too heavy. 

 

Third time Skynet said the parcel had arrived and waiting for me to pay handleing charges and after paying only to find it never arrived took me another 2 weeks to get my money out of them . Again they said there was a density issue .

 

i will never purchase from CRC again the Skynet crowd are useless why they ever moved i really dont know but must be a business decision which will cost them.

 

Just my bad experince with them which was only since they have been with Skynet .

it was never a problem before and have been using CRC for my cycling stuff since 2006 . Huge bike bag in a week but it seems as ever since they have changed their courier company it has been an issue .

You people get no sympathy , here is whole damn thread detailing all the issues around these courier companies and the retailers and you still go and click "checkout"

If someone in SA would care to import what I want I wouldn’t bother with this but, they don’t

I don’t want to spam this thread with my problems with UPS but believe me over the years I’ve had good service from CRC including from SkyNet. UPS is proper sh1te by comparison. They are incompetent and impossible to get information out of.

I find I’m not alone. HelloPeter has a number of complaints SAME as mine. Question is how much longer do I have to wait??

I would love right now to cancel the purchase ????
