It’s a thing????

Don't let them have to knock lol.

They’ll also almost never phone you because the underpaid driver does not have airtime and his employer probably doesnt trust him with a company phone.

A local courier company once non derived....i got a call from a local pizza shop’s landline ( he told me from where he was phoning????) from the driver telling me his gps is flat and doesn't have a map book and i need to direct him to the delivery address from said establishment.

thats too much of a hassle just to get them to do their job properly... in a complex so not possible anyway.

I received other parcels today, 1 from Skynet and 1 from DHL - [not all cycling related btw], so clearly UPS are up to no good.

Unfortunately I believe you.

Take it up with the shop you made the purchase from. Make an official complaint. I did that as I had paid good money for delivery and, fortunately, had that good money refunded.

Their tracking info is at very best an hallucination.

I wonder if they do better in JHB/Gauteng than elsewhere. I noticed my stuff came via Bidvest cargo -- SAA? No idea.

UPS... = USELESS POSTAL SERVICE.

I was hoping I'd be able to disagree with you, but delivery that's been showing by Tuesday 10/12 has just changed to delayed.!! :(

I finally received my parcels this morning after making 7 calls between the JHB and DBN offices. Was just pushed around from person to person, eventually got the the right person in Durban and 1 hour later I had both parcels.

Was just too much of a mission with them.

Delay resolved and package delivered.

My faith in Merlin/UPS rewarded. :D

good stuff, seems like you just have to add 3-5 days onto delivery time when using UPS.

In my case it was a day later than originally displayed on tracking.

Ordered Thursday evening, delivered Wednesday morning isn't too shabby.

Seems that they have now shifted away from Skynet to Aramex.

Have they shifted or were you just lucky.?

Or am I just unlucky to get Skynet again.?

That said, hopefully they keep improving.

Last wait was only 2 weeks rather than 3 or 4.

So seems Skynet have a new online Clearing instruction.

Makes things a little easier but doesn't really improve turnaround.

That said, 10 days is still an improvement on where they were not so long ago. :D

Ordered on the 30th, given a tracking # smartly on the 30th as well, 2nd Jan, CRC are adamant its been dispatched, SkyNet maintain they have not received it...
Wait 48hrs for scanning to update is what i'm told...
This for their Premier 'Express' service !

Good day hubbers, just thought I would post an update on my experience.

Placed order on the 2nd of September, chose priority option (4-6 working days). Item has just arrived at Skynet hub and ready to be dispatched. R200 admin fee for jumping through all the customs hoops, according to shipping information, I should have item before Thursday, by the looks of things, it will arrive tomorrow

I think the service has improved. Quick response on Skynet's side, it took CRC 2 days to start shipping process.

CRC took less that 24 hours to dispatch my order. I paid for the fastest shipping option.

Safe to say Skynet will deliver to me around the 23rd then?

My experience on multiple orders is that its always hit and miss with skynet. probably a 50/50 split. Maybe 60/40 in favour of misses.

Sometimes they get it right, others times not. Very inconsistent. The biggest issue is, that when they get it wrong, the customer service is absolutely useless.
