Yeah, you pay extra for having the bike run in, hence why the price went up when he posted more recent photos..s duh

Price increase was his labour to run in the bike before selling it.

Posted a wanted advert looking for brakes on 04/05, SwtCraigMachine sent me a PM and commented on my post saying that he had a few different types available which one would interest me.

I replied within a few hours and again a day later letting him know i was interested in a set on offer, he has been online since then the last time this morning, but absolutely no reply.

Why offer something and then go into complete silence about it? If you don't want to sell rather make no comment at all.

Just my 2 cents.

I see we all gunning for this guy but his not the only that is guilty for upping his price, I've seen plenty Hubbers changing their prices from low to high and if you question them you get PM to say who you to tell them. #semanet

There is more to this story than just hiking the price, twice.

Yes, however in this case the Buyer agreed to the upped price (Albeit reluctantly) and this the seller 'wasted' his time and and did not complete the deal for this-and-that reason... and then upped the prices again.

This thread is more about the arrogance of Chris, and how he thinks the world revolves around him. "I am not wasting my time going to another Bike shop", "The bike will not leave my garage until money reflects"

Yes, but how much money?

Maybe C should tell us how much BTC he wants, as the R value changes every 5 minutes.

My response to cristian classified add-

Just saw your add, looks brilliant. Just my size, I have been looking for a L / XL.

I am a petroleum engineer on a rig offshore, I won’t be able to come for an inspection due to the nature of my work, I would have love to call in person but our satellite server has been down which restrict our calls.

I will be paying you through PayPal, pleases get back to me with your PayPal details so I can proceed with the payment. I will also contact the courier agent who will come to pick it up and deliver it in my place.

If you don’t have a paypal account, it is very easy to set up, go to www.paypal.com and get it set up.

Just received a PM from cristian

Hi. In what country are you?

My email for paypal is $$$$$$$$$$@#####.com

Send me an email once payment has been done so I can confirm.

Thanks

Christian

In response, I am just of the coast of Afghanistan !!!!

Yep I've been following this topic since last week, just pointing out that his not the only, his though is more dodgy actually sounds like a scammer to me

This thread is a lesson in nothing more than integrity, and it keeps on giving.

What did he pay for the bike? ~R60k I would have mentioned that as a seller as that is a huge discount.

The fact that he wanted to sell the bike originally for R25k has got me wondering, that is a massive haircut for a six month old bike. Either the bike is actually stuffed and warranty won't cover it, or this guy is not that sharp. Or both.

If I was in the market I would be interested as it's my size. I'd be having a look at the stanchions and all drivetrain before my wallet came out

Agreed. Even the R35k is not bad for that bike - retail is around R50k.

Chrissie/Chris/Christian, however, needs a few lessons in humility, honesty, transparency, integrity, blackmail and law.

maybe bikehub can add a "bidding" section to the classifieds

I'd be more than willing to throw in a box of smarties to sweeten the deal with this schaaister

Can somebody in the CPT region please meet up with Chris and tell us more about the actual state of the bike and the person. I am sure someone has 5mins to spare to give us all closure on this vary interesting topic.

Preferably someone with 10 000+ post count, because the suspicion level on this thread justifies a proper Hubber to investigate.
