I've heard that from many English guys, but for me if you look at the Cape demographic all the dodgy areas are located in or near the south (Cape Flats, etc).

 

Not to mention the amount of bike jackings I've heard of happening around the South, not that I think cycling in my local areas are safe, but I do consider 100% of the Tygerberg mtb club trails to be extremely safe.

 

I would actually love to go cycling south on some of your trails and paths there, but because I don't know the areas and hotspots so well I am reluctant to go

Guys/Lasses ... Just want to put it out there that the LBS's mentioned all were willing to help and accommodate. The problem was obviously not with the LBS's mentioned but with the seller.

 

Don't want the comments to negatively impose on them as they were all willing to assist in a situation that they wont benefit from and my appreciation goes out to all 3 of them willing to help
