Hi all

By front brake (SLX disk brake with 180 Ice Tech rotor) is going soft when going downhill. Nothing extreme (Nissan trailseaker 40km on Saturday). Pump it going down does nothing, almost feel like there is a leak.

On the flat area all good again.  (almost over the handle bar with the pumping of the brake  )

WTF???

Get some Avids... because of the unrivalled squealing they create when you brake you tend to use them less....makes you faster....

Did you not just do a brake hose swap??

If so then your skills at bleeding brakes needs work!!

As a matter of fact, yes. Chaps on here told me how to. Back is fine, just the front that is problematic.

Swapped the Avid 1 set for the SLX just because of that. :w00t:   Did not need a bell, just touched the brakes and people would move over.... :whistling:

How long have you had the brakes?

My dad is one of those doctors who prescribes meds that redirect the flow to where it needs to be hard... Need a business card?

Bru, i still don't quite understand what you did with your hoses, did you take off the avid hoses and fit it to the slx's as is or?

I guess sometimes new brakes need an installation bleed.

Not new brakes. Teaching myself new things via YouTube. Did a cable swop so I suppose the front brake got air in
