If that is the difference a Spez saddle makes .... Imagine if Froome got onto a Specialized bike ...

madmarc Posted May 28, 2018 Posted May 28, 2018 I did the same, changed from a 2.5K Fizik to a 1K spez saddle - never looked back. The Fizik saddle was the worst buying decision I ever made. Nothing wrong with their saddles, but their system of selecting the right saddle for you by telling you to bend over really boggles the mind, I honestly cannot see the science in this. Spez in store assometer clearly and quickly indicates the most important thing of saddle selection - and thats the width. How does Fizik measure your sit bone width by telling you to bend over ??

Knersboy Posted May 28, 2018 Posted May 28, 2018 Pretty ballsy move to change saddles, he must have experience riding that power saddle. Spez saddles do it for me too, ride a phenom on mtb and romin on the road bike. I actually bought the romin by mistake, picked it up off the shelf instead of the phenom that I planned to use even on the road bike, but I dunno if my bum could tell them apart in a blind taste test.

Definitely a bad choice for grand tour GC riders...
