Here is the link. Sorry for the amateur footage.

Are you up for some constructive criticism?  (with a pinch of salt since I am no video expert!)

Clearly you are doing some editing, there are some transitions and music.  (admittedly, I did not watch the whole 19minutes!)

Try making it shorter, much shorter, at 2 minutes you start pushing it already.

Cut all the climbing, carpark and start area type of stuff.

Feature the highlights only.

If you go over 2 minutes, it needs to be gripping, interesting, leaving you wanting more...

Like this for example, get a coffee before you start and then tell me you did not watch the whole thing cause you couldn't help yourself!  (Local boytjie, Bryn North)

Hi Tankman. Thank you for your honest feedback. I'm with you on the short video. What i wanted to do is give people the opportunity to see the full route and see the climbs as well. I found out myself the video is too long and i nothing really grab your attention. So i just put it out so i can also get some comments where i need to improve and what i needed to change. I will definitely take your comment when doing some edits. Thumbs up.

Try looking at it this way, what you were doing at the time, was interesting to you, that is after all why you did it but that is not necessarily going to be interesting for someone else to watch, not all of it.

Watching someones whole day out on a bicycle, not so interesting.

Watching someones day out on a bicycle doing the fast stuff, downhill, whips, jumps, crashes, single-track, forrest ... a little more interesting.

Anyway enough about that.  If the criticism is constructive I think it helps in the end.

Thats why I dont like asking my wife for criticism on my photos, bless her, she is all like "oooh dit is moooooi!" while I am thinking ... the highlights are blown, the color is off, its over saturated, there is not enough contrast and do I really like this composition?

My bad habit of always leaving the house a little too late for races finally caught up with me, showed up at 8h25 only for my car to be blocked at the entrance so that my start group can start..

Ended up riding on my own for a looong while and only caught the sweepers about 10km into the race. Soon after that we were already mixing it up with the medium distance riders, didn't know about the route adjustments so thought I took a wrong turn somewhere!

But I enjoyed the route, far tamer than the other Worcester trails we did for Gravel & Grape recently. Agree with Rouxenator, the best bits were those trails after Fairy Glen, some nice trails behind the casino!

Just one more random comment, I see the organisers followed the Philadelphia race example (probably encouraged by PPA) not to have podiums for the race winners - can't say I agree with this, would like to see at least a small token of congratulations for the winners, they deserve it.

But overall well done to the organisers, will be back for this one.

Nice photos Tankman - including that action shot of the youngster taking a tumble!  Trust he is ok!

Thank you!  All is good, here is the photo following his tumble.

I could not help but laugh as he got up "Pappa dit was lekker!"  :w00t: :w00t:
