From an investment point of view the Bianchi will likely return more of your cash when next you upgrade .

The word investment and bicycle should not even be in the same sentence together.

Hi guys need your help.im picking up my bike i just still at 3 minds.

2017 bianchi vertigo

2017 giant propel advance 2

2016 giant propel advance 1

Please gents ive only got 1 day to decide

How can you make such a rushed decision when you spending cash like that?

They are different bikes with totally different ride characteristics. You need to take all 3 for a ride and see which one you like.

sjoe! that Bianchi is a sweet looking ride... but if it comes with Campag, I would opt out, ONLY bcoz of the cost of parts, and go for the best Propel option in terms of price vs spec

Short answer... there isn't one!

Campag don't need no parts - quality!

All things being equal and cost and general condition of the bikes are the same I would go propel 1. Better components and the propel is pretty much unchanged over the years cept for paint schemes.

I recently bought a propel, I suck as a cyclist but this bike makes me grin like a banshee....

You know that I always thought this was just something that Campy snobs would say. But when I first got SR it was very temperamental, but now it is as smooth as butter.

I would not touch the 2016/17 Propel if you paid me. It's one of the harshest rides around. Well most aero bikes are harsh but the Propel is stiff enough to feel which side of a R10-00 note you rode over .

The Bianchi Vertigo is a much more compliant bike but it's still stiff enough to race and it can take up to a 28c tyre iirc.

The propel feels fast and that's addictive but to live with it 6 days a week and ride races like the PPA one tonner or coronation double century on it will require some super padded bibs and saddle.

The 2018/19 disc specific Propel is noticeably more comfortable but I'm guessing your budget doesn't stretch that far?

There's a few Look 695 bikes in the classifieds for under R40k. Those are superb bikes. There's also a Look 765 in size 54cm (I assume medium) as that's not how LOOK sizes their bikes

Ive chosen the bianchi as the propel sold and only have maerida scultura 5000

Congrats on the new bike. When the 105 breaks upgrade to Campy Chorus at minimum.

Oh, pics or it didnt happen.

If you are a car enthusiast, I can help you this way.

You are unsure whether to choose between a Ferrari and a Mazda 121 with towbar ?

Go for the Bianchi.

Quoting Mettallica ..... "and nothing else matters"
