Clearly Tom Dumoulin is not a quitter

I thought for sure he was in with a shot once he got within reach, but alas, had nothing left to give in the sprint.

That was really incredible how he came back... think Valverde had a slight panic attack when he saw that orange jersey charging down on them

Mr consistant and it is really nice to see.

An awesome race to watch ...

28% after 250km .... eina !!

The best man won on the day , just hope he is also the "clean"man ....

What excitement from TD and Woods and Bardet were excellent too .

I wanted Alephillipe to win , but it wasn't to be ....

Commentator says Adam Yates was riding with a 52-36 11-34 yesterday!! THAT is how tough it was LOL

So was Nic and he says so were majority of the riders...

What a race!!!!!!! Best worlds!!!

yes it was awesome.

In hindsight it is a real pity that only the Elite men's did the final holl climb.

I don't think it would have made a difference in the women's result, but it could well have changed the tactics leading into it.

I liked the move by Valgren. I thought the course suited Nibali, but he did not feature.

It looks as if most of the Vuelta GC contenders had not recovered enough. Yates, Kwaitko, Kruiswijk, Quintana, Pinot did not have a big influence on the race. Woods and Valverde are the exceptions.

As I watched the finalè where the final selection of 4 went up Höll after reeling in the mighty Valgren, I was really hoping Woodsy or Bardet would win.

Valverde’s win brings a ‘yeah, dunno hey’ sensation

And a possible Moscon win brings a ‘no way, nutjob’ sensation

Could you imagine the carnage of a year that boy would have in the stripes? It's be like grumpy Hinault back in the 80's just kicking off and battering spectators, riders, nuns, orphans, defenceless animals and more.
