kosmonooit Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 Rob Hatch@robhatchtv·29mMartin & Rowe both expelled from #tdf2019 by UCI jury
Slowbee Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 Luke Rowe on Tony Martin: "We're both doing the same role, both doing the same job, it was nothing really. I rolled over the line with him, it's all good, we shook hands. We just got in each other's way. That's bike racing. All good." #TDF2019 They have both been sent to the principal's office Apparently both have been kicked out of the tour [emoji15] for both to get the boot something else must have happened leading up to that little bit we saw Aaaah the full clip clears things up, stupid from both of them. https://twitter.com/kd2357/status/1154080597146554369?s=09I wonder what happened before this. Rowe must have done something to upset Martin. What what interesting in the clip was how after the little tussle the share words and a bit of a shirt tug - and everyone else carries on as normal ... gotta love cycling.

Very stupid from both and both are very important to their teams.. Just stupid.
SwissVan Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 I wonder what was it with Tony Martin trying to barge Luke Rowe off the road?I dunno, Red Bull moment that allowed the commissaries an opportunity to weaken teams challenging a Frenchie on podium in Paris. Was it really worthy of an expulsion that could potentially affect the outcome of the race?
EvanB Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 They were idiotic carrying on like that in the bunch, they could have crashed and injured other riders

SwissVan Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 Did you watch the whole video or just the bit of what happened on the side of the road...Yes, no one was hurt or even fell off compare it to something dangerous: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bEQ7LwXQWC0 https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=BPybqwcFSbc

Is it harsh.. yep, but they were at fault... maybe they will plead and come to an agreement to be let back in..but doesn't change the fact thay it was beyond stupid to act thay way.
Gen Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 Well the two of them are very very sorry and accept responsibility for what happened..tempers flared they had a fight and unfortunately unless the UCI somehow are kind and reverse their decision they will have to accept it. Even made a sorry video together. https://twitter.com/JumboVismaRoad/status/1154111156128309248?s=09

The punishment exceeds the crime. I’m willing to bet that if it was a quickstep and FDJ rider the punishment would have been a few slaps with cooked spaghetti
dsw Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 Seems as if there might be an appeal from both Teams. Whatever the outcome it is going to be controversial.
