I wonder what was it with Tony Martin trying to barge Luke Rowe off the road?

I dunno, Red Bull moment that allowed the commissaries an opportunity to weaken teams challenging a Frenchie on podium in Paris.

Was it really worthy of an expulsion that could potentially affect the outcome of the race?

Nah what they did was stupid and dangerous to both spectators on the side of the road with Martin and riders within the peloton with Rowe.

They were idiotic carrying on like that in the bunch, they could have crashed and injured other riders

Dangerous.....come on these guys are like sardines on bicycles

Have you seen some of the roads these guys have to ride on, now there are some dangers

Sure penalize them, cane them in public or whatever but not something that will affect their team leaders race

Did you watch the whole video or just the bit of what happened on the side of the road...

Yes, no one was hurt or even fell off

compare it to something dangerous:

Moscon was booted for throwing a punch or trying to throw a punch..no one was hurt either...haven't we been asking that they must be consistent?

Is it harsh.. yep, but they were at fault... maybe they will plead and come to an agreement to be let back in..but doesn't change the fact thay it was beyond stupid to act thay way.

No one said it was not stupid, (bar the expulsion)

I’m pretty sure similar things happen often within the peloton, it’s the nature of the beast and most of the time we don’t even hear about it.

The punishment exceeds the crime.

I’m willing to bet that if it was a quickstep and FDJ rider the punishment would have been a few slaps with cooked spaghetti

Seems as if there might be an appeal from both Teams.

Whatever the outcome it is going to be controversial.

Unfortunately they were front and centre for the world to see..[emoji2368]

BTW none of the UCI comms on the jury panel were French.

Depending on on which ruling that was made an appeal may not be possible. And if the fine is more than a certain amount.

They can plead maybe.. but it's a dangerous thing to do if you have booted riders before for similar incidents ..next time it may be someone people don't like and then he gets to stay in the race..like Moscon he may just have free reign if they let them back in [emoji6]
