this is a problem we need to work on as a Province.

This year we have had two clubs that have afiliated with more than one region to overcome this issue.

Will send you a PM for a possible solution, but to be adopted by the Gauteng exco.

This sounds like a trick question so I suppose I have to think carefully.

not a trick question at all. just very hard to have a constructive debate when there's an anonymous viewpoint and no one knows the context. thanks for sharing

Agreed. Constructive debate is healthy for the advancement of cycling in SA.

Wouldn't it be great if a CSA public relations officer or media personnel or such like had a presence here on the hub. What better way to keep in touch with what cyclists issues are in SA. (If csa is even interested in that)

As per my post in the K2C thread.

The hubbers will just love this

A buddy of my rode K2C.  Carries a racing license, but not such a serious racer to know which races are sanctioned or not.

CSA slapped him with a R750 fine.  Really????????

They surely know how to make friends

No CSA official would have the guts to join the hub and I don't blame them. There are some pretty angry people here. They know they will be lynched.

Even if they did join, would they listen to the suggestions?

History tells me they will ignore the voice of the cyclist....

Would it not be better to take a few bullets, then interact and listen to concerns/complaint... look into changing things if merit warrants it and then have the hub on their side?

Numerous notifications have been sent to members in the last 12 months and it is therefore incumbent upon us to uphold the rules as laid down by the UCI, and as such you have been fined the amount of R750 and your licence has been suspended for one calendar month.

I guess this means- we (CSA) have posted it on twitter

Something I suggested to them in previous attempted conversations, they were not interested.

Wow - your buddy is according to CSA a hardened criminal !!

From now on its a slippery descent into the dark world of Crime and Corruption for your buddy with an eventual Government post waiting for him !!

I amsure there are CSA officials, race organisers and possibly even some cyclists (CSA members) reading here.

I do think this is now going to be a regular occurance. The fines and bitching that is.

That is why this thread was started. So that you can voice your concernes and more importantly offer some constructive solutions.

My personal opinion is that everyone is hiding in their respective corners and it is time to come out and spar a bit.
