Yes some very very good people.

The biggest danger man to me in this Giro is Amador. Not to sure what the peloton was thinking letting him go that day up the road. He can hold his own in 3 weeks and in the mountains.

Although I have to be completely biased and say Im hoping that Jan Polanc get a solid GC at the end depending on team orders the next bunch of days.

didn't notice that, he finished 4th in the 2015 Giro!

GC leader Landa is 4th best placed in his team currently, Movistar got some cards to play here

I can do today's route profile with text

Disks are so safe they will soon be launched on toddlers balance bikes. But only here in this country will the toddler have to wait a few years before racing his balance bike at the 947 kiddies ride or run the risk of a DQ.

Or a CSA fine

I'd be having a word with who ever the offenders mechanic was and pulling him up about his cleanliness. That set up was filthy looking at the grease rolling up tummys leg. Standards people, standards.

The Gavia is looking pretty chilly at the moment. Holding thumbs that they can race up there. A lot of clearing going on to give it a best shot.

With the Extreme weather protocol now in place the classic stages like Hampstens won't ever happen again and while it's a shame for folklore I can't imagine that any pro wants to go anywhere near those conditions. Spring in Italy hey? Got to love the Giro.

I would ask the mechanic what grease was doing on the disc brake in the first place.

I'm an optimist. Let's tune in to todays pan flat stage and see if the world has been turned on it's head and the usual break of local riders dangling up the road by about 3 minutes hasn't happened. I'm guessing there will be a rider from Bardiani and at least one from Nippo-Vini and maybe one from Israel Cycling.

Anyone want to wager?

Haven't even bothered to check the web page for progress... Pan Flat stage will only get my attention if someone yells Crosswinds!

Maybe DD should go back to Pro Conti, at least then they will attempt to be in a breakaway again.

Been thinking the same lately... let them focus on the young guns again instead of being a retirement village...
