I stand corrected....my Kiwi mates always claimed them as their own

I would consider Neil Finn as the vocalist, guitarist and main songwriter to be 90% of the band, so they're more new zealand than where they formed.

he did of course have another band in the years before, called Split Enz

Don't ever say that to Tim Finn... Neil was the little brother allowed into Tim's band, Split Enz... ;)

Do you remember "Another Brick in the wall" being banned?  (May 1980)

The Wall was a powerful film, haven't revisited that for a while, still have it on VHS lol ...  neither all my Floyd albums .

Roger Water made some interesting music post Floyd . "Radio Kaos"  is in my collection

Animals and Wish You Were Here are probably two of the albums I listen to the most, still, from start to finish. The remasters are superb.

I love both Gilmour and Water's solo work, but Water's Amused To Death album is probably ne of the most underrated, incredible, genius pieces of music anyone has ever created.

Getting to see him at The Dome in 2002 on the In The Flesh tour play not only many of the PF hits people wanted, but a large portion of Amused To Death, was something I never thought would ever happen.

Lastly, his recent The Wall tour Blu Ray is essential for any Pink Floyd/Roger Waters fan. It's a beautiful film and an audiophile's wet dream.

Right? Snowy White, Doyle Bramhall II, Andy Fairweather Low, all on one stage...

Like I wrote this myself! Every word of it!  Except that I went to the Velodrome it Cape Town, so it's got a cycling connection too, ha ha!  :D

Re. Roger Waters. He's aged quite well. David Gilmour also.

Snowy was here in za. Doyle was def not. Andy I don’t know. Not sure he was.

Edited my own post because I realise after all these years of thinking Doyle was there, he wasn't. He was on the earlier leg of the tour but not the 2002 leg. Chester Kamen took his place. Andy definitely was on the tour though. He was the only member of the band Roger introduced by name.

I think my memories of the show got confused after all these years with having watched the DVD so many times.

Askies.

The Velodrome is where I got to see Springsteen twice in 2014... And my brother was with you at the CT show
