It was exactly this that got people concerned in the first place:

There we go yes..and then the money squandered on the app came out ....if my fuzzy memory is to be trusted.

See post earlier by Patch and posts on other CSA thread by Frosty where hands have been put up and ignored by CSA.... your argument does not hold water.

Please send a link, I do not recall seing any volunteers to get involved al Local or regional level. I am sure we can put them in touch with their region. Everyone has a master plan but surely they need to proove their worth at local level first. If they have a track record at local level, I am sure CSA will gladly consider any offers.

Question: who at CSA gets paid? How much? Because every operational post (like team mechanic) that I see advertised states it’s a voluntary post.

Someone is getting paid.

And someone in KZN is making a kakhuisie vol $$$ in events paid by CSA.

Funny they were without a treasurer and then someone volunteered ..yeah look how that turned out.

I will say it again.. until the entire executive committee or whatever they want to call themselves are gone, CSA will not see a cent from me.

And as someone who has had to deal with volunteers before, right there is the problem.

You can offer to volunteer - but only if we want you. Kind of like a job interview.

Perhaps CSA should make contact with the organisers of volunteers who run the Nedbank Golf challenge (which is televised) to find out how to manage volunteers. Because everything at the golf challenge is done by volunteers several of whom have never done anything for their "local" union before, or even played golf !

That  "KZN DSR events".....

What if they used that money to send riders competing internationally.

Gives your roughly R1m per month to spend on athletes to compete internationally.

Just a thought.........

Thats right. Then when Lemmer questioned the spend on the App, he was slapped with an Emma letter.

Its not too hard to hold hands and prevent a crowd invasion. Doesn't require an understanding of the rules of Golf or experience in Golf administration does it.

Which he ignored and then nothing happened.

I suppose that can be seen as a solution to the problem. Sort of like saying I will not vote untill there is a new president or the oposition is in power. It could even work out for you, and it does create pressure if they know they are not getting your rands. You do have orher options to support cycling and SA talent.

Just please keep doing so while someone else tries to create the change you are patiently waiting for.

Who was this volunteer Treasurer at CSA?

Is the person still there?

I think it was Booth?  Not my favorite person.

He dropped out after a couple of hours and emigrated.   If memory serves me well.

And that is my right..

Booth wasn't there long ..position vacant again ( i think)..he actually did come on here and say why he left..just can't remember exactly why..

If they all just started taking responsibility ..put their hands up and said yes we made these mistakes and this is out plan to fix it then I would still give them a chance.. but they didn't and they haven't ..all they did was pass the buck blame the previous administration or this and that..but no plan..none that I have seen.. end of the day is their incompetence has landed CSA in the mess.

.

Now this is not the kind of income statement I would  like to put my signature on. Personally I would like a bit more clarity on things like "Sport Expenditure".

I am hopeful that 2018 will look a lot better and a lot more transparent.

I am not exactly sure, but to me the bad debts just represent  hopeful income provisions that never materialised in previous years, and some real bad debts.  I do not have the facts however.

Cannot wait to see what CSA have managed to change and improve on in the last year.
