Would be actually quite cool and pricing is fair if you can get it "cheap", some are older bikes...just wonder where the bikes are (local / SA?) - would they need to imported and costs...and wonder how may km's they would have done, I would guess quite a bit of training done.

Some Questions.

How old are the frames?

What condition is the frameset in?

How old are the groupsets?

What condition is the groupset in? (new cluster? new rings?)

How old are the wheelsets?

How much would shipping cost to South Africa?

Can a stem length be changed if needed?

Will the bike be fully serviced prior? Ie bearings, chain etc

8. Each Bicycle has a specific listing page which sets forth the Bicycle’s description and additional terms, if

applicable. Bidders are responsible to read the listing page, and Bidders submission of a bid on a Bicycle
constitutes an agreement that Bidders have read and understood the listing page and any additional terms.

Merlin are selling off Lotto ex team bikes for various prices, Canyon are selling off Movistar and Katusha as well for about the $4000 mark. Not for charity though.

With or without motors?

I wouldn't touch a pro bike.Especially if it was a training bike.

Some guys think a bike is an investment if ridden by a Pro.

Am sure the auction will be pitch at corporates who will likely hang the bike in reception or boardroom and unlikely to be ridden, hence the lack of info for someone who want's to ride it
