Can I ask something without being keel-hauled?

How many of riders are

  • full time (pro) cyclists'
  • sponsored?

This is what Karina Britz is seeing now that mindless road fron Tankwa Padstal

Comment was made about her riding in flats last year. I'm curious, anyone know if she is this year?

I arrived at Tankwa Padstal at 22:00 this evening a year ago. Totally smashed by headwinds and was craving for something warm. There was nothing left but water and Coke!

I slept for two hours and left WP10 at 24:00. Made it the next day with half an hour spare and no skin om my bum left.

So, it’s still possible, even for some behind the Green Flag. I don’t wish it upon anyone however!!

Go Karina go!!!!

So I see Sean Wheeler is 10km from the end, he of the big detour. Strings to him for surviving the mental agony of taking a wrong turn.

This is what I love about the Munga. I watch, cheer and check up on some faceless person who is not a pro racer but a normal person like me, for no other reason but their determination.

Louis Fourie told me that when he got there, there was also only water and coke left. He scratched in the bin and found a few bread crusts from the toasted sarmies that previous riders had thrown away. He says they tasted fantastic.
