Must be a relatively new lifestyle for her. Couple of years ago she was sponsored by USN and to my knowledge did not have vegan products in their lineup. And she was very open about using their products and how they were tested etc.

****Of course, I could be wrong!

I thought her shirt said she loves steaks and grilled burgers.

People with a taste for life.... literally

It is kind of ironic that a vegan wears a Spur shirt....

Oh wait.....

I’d like to say that perhaps she can get Spur to consider some vegan options for the menu, but even during my carnist days I was of the opinion that no one with a modicum of self respect would go to Spur for a ‘meal’.

You clearly have no kids......

SPUR is sometimes a lifesaver. Cheap, reasonable quality brekkie and 2h of play while you ponder existence.

Agreed, I wouldn't go there for a steak or a fancy dinner, but goodness, dude. Ruling it out 'cos you don't fit its target market is aboout as unreasonable as your attitude towards meat eaters.

I’m interested to hear about my “unreasonable attitude”.

Your question to me last week was evidence enough.

"Nevertheless, please, if you will, explain to me where I should be "entertain an opposing and / or sympathetic and / or conciliatory and or / accepting a compromising position and / or compromise without going into ad hominem attacks and vitriolic, holier than thou attacks".

IE: You see no problem with ad-hominems, moral superiority, personal attacks and general dickishness when someone doesn't follow your idea of morality / ethicism. Even though omnivirism is as old as humanity itself, and none of the people on that thread (the hunting thread) have said that they don't want better care for our food stock than is currently practiced.

All this talk of Spur

my stomach is rumbling

Calamari starter

Spur Fillet with chips and onion rings

Waffle n ice cream

Without fail every time we are back in SA

Not sure why people don't like Spur food, looks and tastes good imo

Sometimes i joke with my wife, we should start a Spur or Mugg n Bean here in the ole Schweiz

What with the lack of variety, i reckon they would be very popular especially in the expat areas

NOM. Those, along with the jalapeno chilli poppers, their brekkie and the bacon / guac / cheese burger are the only things I order when going there.

Teh SPUR that was in Wandsworth, UK, was horrible, though.

Just felt the roll over my lycra shorts while sitting here....  :w00t:

Maybe its just as well there are no Spur Steak houses close by

This is the thing, i like to eat and not just eat to live.

I really cant see myself enjoy life as much if i had to leave out steak, boerewors ect…

Puerile vegan memes are all the rage across the threads, but god forbid a defensive omnivore is triggered by facts, logic and basic tenets of ethics.

Myles, whether exploiting animals is as old as humanity or not is irrelevant in 2019. The planet is burning and the billions upon billions of animals are having their throats slit to satisfy our tastebuds. We can’t eat our cake and have it. If we want to save this planet and do right by our fellow earthlings, we need to leave them of our table and backs. It’s that simple.

You won’t know unless you’ve tried. ????

It’s really discouraging in that there’s more outrage over who’s been triggered or ‘insulted’ than there is for the topics that are of concern now.

It’s about as discouraging as the fact that you have not conceded on a single point since this thread has been started. You wouldn’t even grant Peckles his final wish of being eaten by a vegan.

Surely that is evidence enough to justify the zealy comments made by Myles.
