NICE !!!!

And well done.

I really like that last bit. Urgently.

But, please learn something from this. The next time you dont get some form of communication regarding your salary and it does not get paid, dont mess around and get the hell out of dodge.

AND, those little sideline ideas you had on the side. Dont stop those either. Keep them ticking over. Nothing serious - but enough to build a name.

How long should that take? My father passed away on 7 November, but Citadel keeps telling me they have not been appointed yet as executor... it's been 15 weeks, feels like someone is not doing their job?

It doesn't take that long.

Do you know which Master's office they are using..

Bloemfontein. It doesn't make sense as the Farm is in Limpopo and his portfolio with Citadel was handled by the Pretoria branch. They said at the time that things go faster in Bloem due to it being a smaller town....bah!

Congrats Swift, but for what reason is your last payslip needed for a new job? Surely that should have no bearing on your current situation?

People want to know what offer they can make you that you will take, they don't want to offer you way too much or way too little. You want to pay someone as little as possible that would prevent you from looking for another job...

In my current situation I should probably take whatever offer they bring to the table, even if it is a 20% pay-cut, just to ensure the bond and medical aid is paid and there is food on the table. From there I can then look for better paying opportunities if this offer isn't perfect.

But surely this should be done during the interview stage and not after they've offered you the job?  Seems weird to me.

Just got an email reply, they work from Bloemfontein, but they submit to Pretoria.... that is where the holdup is. :(

Yep, was also waiting for that question during the interview, but it never came... I figured she didn't want to discuss numbers infront of potential future colleagues, who was sitting in for the interview. But she could have excused them and just went through this nitty gritty one-on-one. I'll wait and see what they reply with..

Whatever you choose to do Swift, best wishes.

Very happy for you.

Truth they are going about it in a pretty strange way as an offer of employment should be made at this stage with all the terms and conditions and I have never known a request for a payslip after saying you have the job. Not the norm for sure.

However I take cognisance of the fact that at this stage for you it's worth it if it covers medical aid etc.

Wishing you best of luck and every success in the new job!
