Bike Hub 2019 Commuters Challenge

What a hard week!

 

Since the Sani2C challenge way back in May Mr Cat-i wanted to know if we could try to do a 300km commuting week. Then the UweKoetter Rise-the-challenge came along, so we added 'and 5000 m ascent' to the mini-challenge.

 

This past week was the only one in a long while where both of us would be able to commute all 5 days, so we decided to try - we chose the coldest week of the year so far. Was very hard to get up Wednesday and yesterday morning. This morning was a bit easier - only this afternoon to go.

 

Not trying this again any time soon.

And Joburg is not flat!

Imploder is that a fresh new 3000 on the leaderboard? Congrats! 

 

Thanks! It's been a weird year, can't seem to get into any sort of rhythm. You guys at the top though are killin' it! Keep it up.

Been off the commutes for a couple of weeks (sickness / school runs) but super excited about commute home today. Northerly wind is coming through strong and that's the same way I'm going home

Going home last night was not much fun into the headwind ... tonight looks even more interesting!

 

Coming into work this morning though was a blast with the tail wind.

I did cycle yesterday and this morning. Although it seems i get a head wind either way.

I had a look this morning and saw I was no longer in 6th place. Thankfully the stupid in me won today and I braved the rain to work. That 11km put me back in 6th.

My bloody phone has also dies on a couple of commutes as of late ... so lost a few km's unfortunately on Endomondo.
