Bike Hub 2019 Commuters Challenge

Of course I'm not taking part in the challenge, but just wanted to drop a note that I'M BACK and commuting again after nearly 8 months or recovery since my crash. I'm not riding every day, but I get a few days a week in and it is fantastic. I'm enjoying it so much that I've decided to not even complain about the Southeaster.......let's see how long I can keep that promise?!

Not been commuting this week. Got a bit of a flu at the moment and we have finally had some good rain this week in Polokwane.

Very happy about the rain, desperately needed.

whereabouts will you be staying?

Same place as ouzo, Fish Hoek Seaside cottages. As a family we been doing the argus for 31 years and have stayed there since the first time in 1989. I actually think they still have my Dad's deposit from then as he just used to tell them to keep it till next year. When we check out every year we just book the same week for the following year.

So it looks like I might not be able to commute tomorrow. No ways I am willing to risk riding to work while this is happening. Will much rather be in the bakkie if the k@k hits the fan.

I suffered a bit to work today and yesterday realised that because my after noon commute is more than double as long as the morning one, I still get wind

Cottage 19 booked

The cottage we have had for the last few years has apparently been sold and is now occupied permanently. So we will be in another one, I am not sure which one though.

Thanks. Feeling better, maybe will try and ride tomorrow. The road is also one big mudpool at the moment.

Realistically speaking we only have 46 days left of the year (and decade - let that sink in).

 

Of those days it is only 23 work days left for me. So at best I'll be adding 800km, maybe less.
