These are the new ones?

Those to-be-released new ones look fast, hey

Looks like Ethan Hunt, in upcoming Mission Impossible 12, could receive a pair in an envelope from the bicycle courier while busy fishing with his kids at the lake near his house, then receive the 30 second mission brief and then it melts into blue flames at his feet.

(sorry too much caffeine in my bloodstream)

700’s are the news ones about to be released. They will replace the 35II’s.

I’ve got the 35II’s and to be honest, don’t really like the design look of the new ones. But of course haven’t physically seen them yet.

Working around a lot of people who travel a lot they all seem to really be loving the Sony’s at the moment. Im more than happy though with the Bose.

Not replacing the 35’s. The 700’s are new ‘more premium’ item in their lineup.

“. They cost $399.95, look nothing like the existing QC35 IIs, and aren’t actually going to replace those more affordable cans.”

Thanks for that.

Somehow though that just seems like marketing gumph to make those who have just laid out cash for 35’s to not feel bad. I really don’t see enough of a difference between the two. And Bose, like Apple keep old products on as they still make money. I mean you can still by 25’s today... But hey, I have a few pairs of Bose and even home products from them, I do love their stuff!!

Ok cool.

Two things I like about the 35’s (personal)

They lighter than the new ones (700’s are ali)

They fold flat and smaller, great for my laptop bag and that HUGE amount of space (not) that I have in economy class seat pocket.

I do like your “affordable” comment though......suppose R90k ZAR bicycles can also be considered affordable all things considered. LOL.

Indeed. Like several other brands - bring out a new model, but instead of it replacing anything, call it a ‘new class’, increase the price, and have both on the market. Edited by Pulse

Not noise cancelling, but look a great deal and probably plenty good enough for my uses...

Any thoughts?

I have the Sennheiser 4-50's and they're great. (Only difference between them is the noise cancelling) My only issue with them is that after a while of wearing them I do find my  my ears get a bit sore.

That is a good price though (The 4.50's were on sale a couple of months ago for approx R1600 I think)

Yeah, I did some reading... NC not the be all and end all for me. I also can't justify throwing too much money at this. Also weighing up if I rather look in Dubai when I pass through there this weekend... but this looks a steal all things considered

Are the B&O Beoplay noise cancelling headphones available in SA?

The E4

and H8

I was tempted to get some E4's in stead of my Bose QC20's, but if I recall correctly they don't cancel noise as well as the Bose, and I believe the inline controls are Apple specific, whereas the Bose come with an Apple version and an Android version.

They look pretty awesome though
