Foookkk..... where do you buy your coffee for R35 a cup.

Our regular morning coffee costs R16 per cup of excellent Deluxe Coffee from Break Away Cafe in Cape Town.

Pppfftt...well even 16 ronds a cup....is steep...well in my cheap skates brain it is....

Sorry, I thought you guys were talking about decent coffee here!?!?

Jo-burgers Bru. They think Seattle is a coffee shop and spur is a restaurant.

I think your spot has already closed down and is selling dresses.

Nothing wrong with Seattle coffee - but it’s not everyone’s cup of tea.

Dunno what there is to complain about Seattle's coffee (except the price)? It's as good as any boutique/specialist shop's coffee. They use La Marzocco machines, good beans, and most importantly their baristas are well trained. I know people love to hate franchise stores, but some do get it right...

You seem to have bigger issues than what us vaalies consider to be good coffee.

I suppose you also think capetonians can drive?

Consistency is key, and they seem to get it right.

It’s also not fair to compare the tall or grande with other coffee shops. Seattle’s short is on par with the coffee offered at most coffee shops.

I remember a shop in Durbanville that sold cheap coffee (R10, IIRC) but the food was probably where they made their money.

Funny that the Specialty Cafe of the year went to a shop in Bedfordview with one machine and 3 staff... but hey, Cape Town has everything...
