MEN'S ROAD RACE

Mathieu and Alaphilippe will be favourites.

I've got a feeling about Pinot...

Agreed. I "rode" the course on Zwift this morning and it has Belgian classic written all over it. No major climbs but energy sapping little bumps and break away opportunities all over the place.

It's gonna be a punchy rider winning this one.

Go Daryl Impey ????????

To those that haven't seen it, the finish circuit which they do 7 laps of:

https://www.strava.com/segments/19532793?filter=overall

The finish straight is 470m at an average incline of 4%, peaks of 10% at the start,  so not built for your big sprinters, but rather the Classics Strongmen Sprinters as mentioned before.

There is one other mentionable climb on the circuit of 1.2km at 6% ave, peaking at 8% in places. Just enough for attacks to go up the road.

Going to be fun to watch.

Going to be  a really interesting world champs.

Just glad Valverde will be out of the stripes finally.

Interesting to see if Sagan has picked up any form and if team Slovakia going to roll the dice.

Do we know any weather forecasts yet? That left before the end may be interesting if its raining..
