Just a quick question: Are your legs burning or cramping?

In my opinion: If they're burning follow everyone else's advise

If they're cramping then get yourself some Magnesium.

...And stand further away from the camp fire.

I suggest you should start doing some body squats and body lunges at home. This will help with strengthening your legs. Calf raise will also help.

Thanks for all the advice everyone. Very much appreciated.

It is just a case of a newbie who isn't fit at all and needs some time in the saddle.

I will continue to wear my Garmin fenix just for review after the ride, but I will just focus on getting out there and pedaling about.

Thanks again

and to add, dont forget to strengthen your core and stretch out those glutes & hammies.

Just 20-30 minutes or core work 2-3 times a week will make a huge difference to your riding
