Just check that the caliper and disk fit snug at the top at the disk. Like this pic. If not then i think its the wrong size spacer.

 

I replaced one caliper on my bike with another Shimano caliper which i thought was the same and had the same issue. The difference in width was about 3 mm on the caliper itself which gave me the issue.

 

Small margin for error with these guys...

False alarm... Looks like the pads are aligned with the outer edge of the rotor. The wide contact surface of the the rotor through me. Thanks for the input guys.

True, that contact surface is wider than usual.  Bad because the designer/manufacturer could have cut "very little" weight there, good because you will have larger surface area exposed for cooling.

Being from the likes of Rob Warner you can only imaging that the same applied.
