love2fly Posted March 10, 2021 Share And the winner....... *drum roll* Pedals. Crap Brothers weak bearings strikes again. Less than 500km. So no big deal, service should be easy. Nope, let’s put the end cap of the spindle in an impossible place and make it so tight that a brand new T25 will grate it to pieces in a single turn. No way to get it out now without some very clever tricks. Also can’t find the part or even a service kit for the Stamp 2 pedals. Looks like it’s time for some OneUp Composites. Thanks everyone.Just double checking....you know the one pedal is reverse thread? (I'm old and blonde and can never remeber which....) :-)I servived my road and mtb pedals and all that was needed was some grease (not sure why Shimano still persist with cup n cone...) love2fly Posted March 10, 2021 Share Are the bearing caps reverse threaded as well? Ah ****!On my Looks, Iclics as well as XT there is one that is reverse threaded. After all of that I found them quite "loose". Time like to say you need a special tool...water pump pliers buffered with a cloth worked fine. SILENT on the workstand .... 10m into the trail the squeck drove me crazy .... At least most bits got serviced .... love2fly Posted March 11, 2021 Share I find some creaks are worse when it's cold or early in a ride.... My pedals used to do that. Conversely I get the odd tick from my pedals 15km into a ride... Often I'll "solve" it at home and it's OK riding in our complex only to find its still there on the first climb of the day...

Chris_ Posted March 14, 2021 Share Tell you what, I greased my skewer and it totally cleared up my creaking bike woes! Such a simple fix. Couldn't believe it.
