Anyone else think Marco will have a Frigo at the sprint for today’s stage?

the longer it takes, the more exciting it'll be. I predict it'll be short, sharp, and decisive...

I reckon the Pora has a plan… and they’ve chosen a stage to use there numbers… 🤔 His got an incredible opportunity this year!

I cant wait for the sparks to start flying ....

it's impossible to know what's in the rider's mind, but I suspect any of the top contenders (are there 3, or just 2?) will want to have things settled sooner rather than later. of all of them, Rog's probably most jittery about the last ITT - when last did we see such a beast? 889m in 7.3km is no one's idea of a joke... Makes 'that' ITT final climb looks like a ride down to the shops in plakkies for ice while the braai's getting going

I feel Rog's best placed to win the big gong, but I'm sure it's going to be a ding-dong battle. As impressive as it'd have been to watch Remco lead the whole thing for 3 weeks, I for one relish a tight battle that's not a foregone conclusion months ahead of time.

Tomorrow and Friday have tough finishes, but Thursday has a short and punchy finale where boatloads of time can be lost or gained. I'm glad I'm not a DS... Do I ambush the opponent, or slowly overwhelm them bit by bit? it really has become a game of 'chicken'

that final ITT though... yeesh... I've just realised I need to cancel Saturday plans I've thoughtlessly committed to...

Sep Kuss is going to be key for Rog in the mountain stages to gain time.  Agree, he would probably want a substantial lead before that last time trail.

It would be heartbreaking to see GT pull a TP on him on the last ITT stage.

… yeah you right, lots of permutations, but I did see you use the word “chicken” which would of course….favours the Pora! 😂😂😂. I personally think this year’s edition will have a strong impact from who has a gold key players in the team, If you got extra troops in the  battle and they assist, you can expose your opponents even if they don’t want to be. So far it’s been a waiting game, but this is when some teams play it safe thinking they got the race under control, last year Ineos made some bad decisions, so I don’t know if they’ve learnt from it? 🤔 This is most definitely the chance for GT to get a podium in the Giro… His team mate will be back next year with a rocket launcher to regain his misfortune.

those 3 are 20secs apart.

stage 16,18 and 20 are mtn top finish x 2 and hilly ITT. don't know how much team work will be able to hide whoever clearly is the strongest of the 3

If the Bees put on the pressure for GT he won’t have too much guys to help calm the waters, also Bahrain will also try a few tricks I think, if you have a good strong squad, they all go out before the GC guys in the TT, and the specialist in the team will with the SD will be gathering lots of data to mill over. That TT is going to flip the switch for who ever uses it to its full advantage! So you kinda do use those riders to help figure out how the route is and plan accordingly. The mountains will always be the gap maker in GC, the top 20 will be in for a shake up for sure. I’m loving this Giro, let’s hope the Tour has the same flavour! Pog btw is recovering well, I’m sure he will be ready in time, and will Remco I didn’t have Covid be at the Tour now?  Yeah lots to think about for the teams ahead of the last week.

Am I the only one who thinks it would be rad if Thomas won?

Washed up domestique nobody who can't stay upright long enough in a GT to get Covid and withdraw..... Won TDF by accident after breaking Froome'e elastic, crashes over his own team mates' bidon on stage 1 or falls and breaks his scapula trying to take off/put on his rain jacket.

I love the guy. He is so oddly human in a sport of absolute machines.

I’m a secret GT fan, but that’s between us…. Just wish he wasn’t a team member of Sky 2.0 😜

A win for him after crashing on a bottle last Year would be a super story For the grand kids one day. 🤪

Riding for Ash-ta-naah in his final season, this will likely be his penultimate Grand Tour. I suspect that he will roll tomorrow and then aim for a sprint win on Wednesday before the rest of the Giro climbs up to the heavens on Thu-Sat.

What a career on the road, not to mention track success. This includes the rainbow jersey and that spectacular win at Milan San-Remo.
