From a secured bike shop though and small window, the thieves took the bike out in pieces, all while evading the security system.   Thanks to some eagle eyed cops, they saw 2 guys trying to get the bike into a taxi in Wynberg, about 15km away from the bike shop and when questioned about the bike, they were unable to convince them it was theirs, fortunately I had my TokaiMTB board on the bike and they were able to reach my emergency contact.   The bike is still with he police, I did manage to see it, and it is pretty banged up, hopefully all cosmetic though.

The bike jacking thing is really out of control. Happy you got it back.

Glad it was recovered. SAPS do sometimes do a great job. Also a lesson in why Tokai locals should join TokaiMTB - help keep the trails going and maybe retrieve a stolen bike thanks to the bike board 🙂
