Boss level. I was wondering if she was starting in the mens group, but this is next level determination as most men would’ve pulled out for this. Hope she gets no side effects from painkillers/antibiotics. I would expect for her the worst part is getting sleep, once the juices flow on the bike the pain might go away TheoG and ChrisF
TheoG Posted March 21, 2023 Share Simply amazing. I really didn't think she will make it to the start line. OVERDRIVE

[not a doctor]I have a smidgen of experience here, I managed to get my brake lever into my thigh. Deep enough to require 2/3 stitches. Felt totally fine at the time, even when I started riding again, but first time i needed a bit of oomph from the hammies it was pain station and I knew that was it. She was able to ride long, hard and fast. I don't think there's a significant injury there. keeping it clean and away from infection is the bigger battle. [/not a doctor] Did you see the pic? This is not a 2/3 stitch wound.

OVERDRIVE Posted March 21, 2023 Share Riding as Nino’s partner would be anyone bucket list. But the pace he’s driving is so severe man.
'Dale Posted March 21, 2023 Share Wild horses couldn’t pull Amy Wakefield from wearing that beautiful and hard earned orange jersey at this morning’s start line. It is a career peak for both her and the ever awesome Candice Lill. The team would’ve lost quite a bit of recovery and reset time yesterday with the injury management and uncertainty cloud. Their lead will hopefully off-set some of the pressure for today. A race of two South African stories as the AW and CL are battling at the top of the grid and Beers and Blevins have to assert themselves to get back near the top. The coverage over very rugged and mountainous terrain, sublime. it is a long way to Lourens Se Fort or wherever the finish is on Sondag.
