This post made me realise that the 2x Levo chargers (48V and 42V) I have in my bike cupboard would cost R7500 to replace 😬

Not "just" the cost ....

If it is slightly older it becomes a PAIN to get a replacement with the correct plug.  One could easily wait weeks for a special order ....

…….that's one of the major downsides of electronic shifting though, the fact that you have no manual override when it dies. On sram you can always find a way to go home when on a 2x because you can swap the batteries between derailleurs, swap the shifters assignments with your phone, but on Di2 it's very annoying, especially since the front derailleur dies first, once you're stuck on the small blade, there's no way around it

right there, “swap the shifters assignments with your phone…”, I realised:

1. I am 61 years o-L-d…🧑‍🦽

2. I NOW realize I AM a Luddite :stupid:

3. I will likely go to my grave on 2x, manual shifting! 😇

We do hail from an era where a pliers and hammer solved most things .... but we DO love playing with these modern gadgets ....

Guilty as charged, your Honour; typing this on my iPad whilst playing around with your KINDLY-donated Garmin! 🙏

But-man; swapping batteries and THEN re-assigning their responsibilities? using a cellphone?  🤕

My HEAD hurty!
