One should always TEST before buying.

You gave me an idea…

On my next trip to Woolies, am going to ask if I can TEST a pair of underpants around the block, to CHECK for comfort, since they COULD pinch, etc.

Cheers!

So I’m guessing you thinking test riding a bike before buying is a dumb idea?

what’s wrong with test riding a helmet before committing?

It was just a fun giggle! Ignore if it offends you!

Test-driving cars, and bikes and bicycles is COMMONPLACE; helmets, not so much…
Cheers

Ive heard of demo helmets making rounds. Think leatt did that back in the day.

Otherwise just ask a buddy if you can wear his/her helmet around the block. Unless you are seriously coodiephobic. (would be ironic since we cyclists tend to use water points and porta loos at races.)

Why do you need to ride in it? Isn’t popping it onto your head good enough or do you undergo some weird shape shifting change , like turn into The Hulk maybe?

Somewhat off topic, but any opinions on etiquette of wearing road helmets on the MTB and vice versa? One can obviously wear what you want, but find the difference quite interesting. Ride MTB but not a fan of the duckbill trail helmets and prefer the more sleek look of a road helmet.

I have always worn ‘Road’ helmets on my mtb. Never liked the look of the peaked or in my view more enduro helmet. Can’t say anyone has ever commented on it. The only comment I’ve ever had was from and enduro bro talking about my tight lycra…I thought I looked sleek and svelte… 😜
