Anyone know why all the batches end with L? Or at least, everyone I know is in some batch ending in L.

Think thats the long route.

Gotta love it when DurbieVille comes alive on a Sunday with cyclists of all sizes, ages and shapes. Everyone with their own performance goal hoping to end without cramp, finish with elegance, drag a buddy up the alphabet or have that elusive podium spot in their bunch sprint ending under the bloekombome on Koeberg Kicker.

I managed to stick to the front split of D bunch and ran out of matches with 3 kms to go, time trialling to the white chalk at a mere 3.8 w/kg. There were some hardworking roleurs in the headwind gusts which showed excellent form and grit.

My spouse and son waiting with chocolate milk and cheering at the finish, priceless. 💕

D batch was proper today, took a few pulls at the front (was wearing Team Vitality kit), overdid it a bit cause legs gave up on the 2nd last climb, limped home in 2:55:22. Tough day in the office for sure.

Had a blast from C, had about 12 Savages that pulled through. A hard day out, hoping Diesel doesnt notice.

Jason whose been riding Tuesdays with us recently pulled on some Savage kit, must have added 25w to his FTP, he went off with 17km to go.

Was great seeing okes bury themselves, not sure how well we did for the whole improving seeding, but it was fun.

I remember the bright pink jersey @Charles71 And also too many unshaven pistons in the bunch - truly unsightly. 🤐

Crossed the white chalk a minute later after zero turns in front as this was a true ‘let’s see how far I can stick to the front 1/3 of the bunch’ strategy on the day. My last outing in the bunch was 13 months ago, rendering me somewhat risk-averse and conservative. 🥴
