you sound so inocent... amazing. just love the womans version of the story.

i dont trust woman on a bicycle and as drivers.... and dont do business with them if I can help it.

:) nice thread

you know Mellow, i understand that men who post comments like this on the hub are just trying to get a reaction from the women on the hub. but really I think you are the kind of person who should learn to keep their mouth shut in situations like this. I bet you are standing on the sidelines supporting Chris Brown for Beating up Rihanna?? Ouch

At no point did my friend say that she was innocent - she said she swore, and was not necessary doing so, but that does not mean that she deserve to have been slapped. She is not claiming to be the poor victim here, she is simply sharing her story.

Unfortuantly this world is still run by small "minded" people like you, who don't give women the time of day. I really hope that you are never blessed with daughters or a loving wife who has to put up with your sexism. If you are, I feel desperatly sorry for her/them.

Grow up.

I agree' date=' as does my friend that swearing at someone isn't the right way to do things. And so what if the guys want to ride without lights in the dark. But you don't go around hitting people especially not a woman.

I think this guy is a coward and deserves what ever he gets. the situation at the moment with deaths on the road, riding without lights is just silly, and putting other people's lives at risk by blocking their light is just not on. If you want to not be seen, that's your problem, don't cause other's not to be seen too though.

Butthesickness, I feel sorry for you.

hahaha, if you really do, then please send me a cash donation. PM for my banking details. Thanks

oh, and tell your friend not to try and be a meddling hero next time. I do agree that it's not cool for them to hit a girl. They should have stuck a waterbottle in her spokes ratherWink

I am not sticking up for the MTBers at all, but cut them some slack - they are probably doing the Epic and have just realised that they are about 2 months behind in their training and their brains are a little frazzled from all the extra training they are trying to cram in. (No one else rides at the crack of dawn with their buddy on MTBs on the tar...)

Still - you would expect some level of decency, but I suspect they have regressed to a very primitive state of being...

There is no excuse ever for hitting a woman' date=' especially across the face. How would those morons feel if I would hit their GF or wifes across the face.

Hey Nix

If she ever finds out who the 2 faggots are please PM me the adress.I would like to show them what  a PK from a man feels like.

A man has no right to hit a womean even if she does swear him.

Your friend should get some pepper spray incase she rides into them again.

These guys are cowards

Good thinking sickbust... I like that plan.... although a pump in the spokes works better... you might get thirsty later on in the ride.

Good point TNT. I think I'll rather just carry my SWAT mace in future, in case some angry woman verbally abuses me while I'm out MINDING MY OWN BUSINESS! heh

I have to agree with your statement....last time Butthesickness gave me the same response about cigarette buds out of car windows *wonder if he noticed all the fires lately* ?

but even worse, he told me to butt out.  So one morning we were standing on the startline of a race and a young guy had his helmet on way back on his head, I wanted to tell him, to adjust his helmet straps, coz should he crash, his helmet won't protect his head....but I didn't I said nothing, because you have to butt out, PI... so I got to speak to the older man standing next to me about it and he said if that boy crashes and splits his head open like a mellon, I will have to live with it, because I knew it was not correct and I said nothing.

So yes, your friend was 100% right in asking them where their lights were.  I think some of us just have more common sense then others.  If those guys got run over this morning we'd be posting condolence notes on the Hub all morning

Look I agree the dude's shouldn't have hit a "lady" of course, the OP was at great pains to point out both  how dark it was, and how the "lady" had a gutter mouth, so the dude's may have been justifiably mistaken as to the gender.

But seriously, the "lady should really learn to mind her own business. There are some dodgy dudes out there, she could get a lot worse than slapped, and imaging the tiz everyone would be in then.

There is really no excuse at all for striking a woman. I feel strongly about that. Both parties were at fault but nothing can justify a man striking a woman.

Bustthesickness and TNT on the otherhand...........

What gets me is that they went in another direction and then turned around and decided to give her a slap.

That's definately not spur of the moment, it's pre-meditated
