Did the Lynford CLassic in Ixopo this weekend, and the event organisers have to be complimented for the many sections of dual singletrack throughout the course. The sections were plentiful and long and presented perfect opportunity to overtake slower singletrack riders or simply dice your mate. Watching the top riders race each other on these sections must have been quite a spectacle. Well done!

It's 'purpose cut' singletrack allowing riders overtaking opportunities. The tracks are sometimes close together but can separate to go around obstacles, so no Para... it's not the same as jeep track

Either you rode sections of this years Sani2C or the organisers took a leaf out of Farmers Glen's book and "borrowed" the idea.

glen has been the organiser of the race in previous years - so highly likely - but dont think it is part of the sani course.

At the start they had a section of about 300m odd of a tangle of 4 or 5 tracks - which was also quite a bit of fun.

dual track can be quite dangerous though if you are checking how you are doing against your maatie instead of looking out for trees!! smiley36.gif

and dont forget the trees in-between the two tracks - unless you have a jeep with some serious clearance!

Would've liked to do Lynford, saving some pennies for a party at the end of the month, but you talk about duel single track, I almost have that to work and back, cos some sections there's tar foot paths with dirt ones running parallel to them LOLTongue

LOL

Also keep an eye out for when the 'dual' track becomes singletrack again, if you don't things could become nasty...

especially at speed..

Then what do you call double lanes made by a vehicle other then a Jeep?

Duh! Obviously Land Rover track Wink

Ahhhh I love a woman who can draw a distinction between a Jeep and a Land Rover! Heart - Just for you Nance!
