Cartel trying to close door on CWC

Some people watch to much TV . Cartel such an outdated phrase anyway , lets call it the CycleMafia . Why don't we allow everybody to import whatever they want from wherever and sell it on their website .

so why does CWC not rope in the ombudsman. Get this thing sorted out properlike. Generally, I would luv the ombudsman to get involved to find out wtf is going, especially when LBS' are buying from CRC to sell here.

 

This crap reminds me of the stunts being pulled by the PC distributors. Often, one can go to Makro, or even Incredible COrruption to buy something at full retail pricing, cheaper than the pre-VAT cost price at the distributor!! Honestly, that's daylight robbery and railroading all in one.

just for the record...............eversince the sh1tstorm on the hub sometime back regarding the planning meeting for said cartel I have not set foot within Cyclelab!! And on the offchance that I see a FP Cycles the same will apply!

This is just another day in good ol' RS of A! Either they:

 

(i) are still busy

(ii) have not gotten to it yet

(iii) did not find anything and have let it drop

(iv) are subject to a third force and it was a false report thereby casting doubt and uncertainty as to the legitimacy of a legal government tool affording the people, at grass roots level, a greater equality with the previously advantaged regime (running out of breath here)........

Strange but ever since that little incident where some people tried to make out the LBS to be black sheep I have not bought from CWC either and rather go to FPC or the LAB . And I will fully support the govermunt if they decide to tax these spares that gets imported for bikes in an effort to save our bike shops .

LOL @ DR. The LBS' are only entitled to a free market where price is driven by demand and other market forces, and where they are free to express their corrupt nature by price fixing and colluding among themselves, until they get wrapped over the knuckles. Now the f should the government come on to protect such BS? If you cant take the heat, get outta the kitchen.?

Besides, we already have import duties. so sock it. CRC is exactly what the ZA market needs. Choice and real competition.

We need our LBSs, you also have choice but if we do not support the guys who give us good service and good prices then they will shut shop and all that will remain are chain stores with zero interest in individuals.

 

I have found an LBS that never has to apologize for his prices, will spare 10 minutes to answer my random questions and always greats me with a warm smile.

 

I will support him even more now during these tough times as I still want him to be around in 20yrs time.

gasping: I understood DRs post as saying that irrespective of the BS going down, the government should come in to protect a faulted system, the direct result of which is that innovators such as CWC must be silenced, and direct imports of retail priced goods censured with more tax.

 

So instead of innovating back, and thinking their way out of the mess their lazyasses created for themselves, they want to call in a bully. Just how pathetic isn't that?

I agree that everyone is free to buy where and what they want, and if the LBS can get it cheaper than wholesale and still mark it up then good for them... lets face it, as mentioned before, it is happening... Nobody slams Cajees or solomons for buying out (for eg) 5mil of stuff from Trek and selling the stuff cheaper than (for eg) the Lab, its because Trek will give them a discount for spending so much...

Please tell me about this faulty system more ? We need to get all the experts on the Hub to solve this and while we at it let's not forget world peace !
