Colonel' date=' the bunch just rolled through, very far behind. Dawid Griessel was never in the race. The Maties esp Erik and Ryan kemp tried to pull the bunch back to MTN and kept it there for about 3 laps.

So the Cape riders all lost, incl Dawid.

I dont remember saying he won?? Ofcourse Maties tried to pull it back, even if they never you would say they did.......

Well done to Dawid Griessel in Elites to finish 18th and being the 1st Cape Based rider.

I heard that non of the CSC riders finished???

I heard non of the Harmony guys finished in the under23, so lets live CSC riders alone. I guess no one could have predicted that the top ten would be like this. WP & Boland ONLY MANAGED THE LAST THREE POSITIONS IN THE TOP  10 "Shame'LOL SG  ROCKS.
UNDER 23
PLACE    RIDER    NAME    PROVINCE    RUN TIME    OFF LEADER
1    540    HOFFMANN NOLAN    SG    4:19:12    0:00:00
2    550    ROBINSON MICHAEL    SG    4:24:27    0:05:15
3    557    BROWN ARRAN    CG    4:25:35    0:06:23
4    523    VENTER JACO    SG    4:25:35    0:06:23
5    488    KINNEAR JONATHAN    CG    4:25:35    0:06:23
6    546    MALULEKE WISANI PRINCE    SG    4:26:00    0:06:48
7    525    DAVEL SHAUN    CG    4:26:00    0:06:48
8    520    VILJOEN DUNCAN    WP    4:26:15    0:07:03
9    552    VAN STADEN MICHAEL MULLER    BOL    4:28:26    0:09:14
10    542    KAKA LUTHANDO    WP    4:28:38    0:09:26

Not really correct, Nolan is from WP, Kinnear aswell so it makes 6/10 in total. Lay off the rocks and go Teabag.

Colonel I was just commenting on the fact that Griessel was the 1st Cape rider. No one sprinted. THey all tried to go over the line together but the road wasnt wide enough.

Juan was told to get to the showers after he had to go flat out on the 1st half of every hill, setting it up for Hanco to jump at the top.

dEsprinter, we encourage our riders to go ride for a Jhb team and improve themselfes. So Boland actually shared in the u23 win.

desprinter, which race did you do??

OuchPhen- you must be a fan of Juan' date=' I use to be!! anyway  I was standing  at  that  killer climb and Juan rode halfway and stopped, team car came next to him , he said he was done and was ordered to continue and he did but eventually stopped. its called "broken" the race was hard, hard hard for him!!!!!!!!!!!QUOTE']

Yeah, I know Juan - We rode on the same team at Finish Line Cycles as juniors. So I just said what I had heard was his reason for stopping, since you had wrongly said that no Harmony riders finished the U23 race (err... there are only two Harmony Pro U23's - as I stated one finished, and one stopped). I don't see how that makes me a fan or not. Anyhow, if he stopped 'cause it was too hard for him - So what? It was his decision, and hasn't much to do with you. Maybe you should rather get on the bike and race, rather than being next to the road criticising people while you are uninformed, eh mate?

Wel, Juan het n great paar laps gery!

Carinus, could you please explain the following:

This seems to suggest that late entires are acceptable providing you have approached certain individuals beforehand.  That seems fair, obviously, and flexible.

But how is this any different to the Sunblock saga, where van der Leek was refused participation on the grounds that it was late, never mind those in his club and others whom he said he approached beforehand?

I attempted to arrange for a meeting between myself and Mr van der Leek, just over 10 days ago.

He seemed to indicate a lack in willingness/interest.

I can not tell you anything about Mr van der Leek's situation, as I have not been privy to his dealings with CSA, his province or his club(s).

By this posting, I again invite him to make contact, so we may meet and hash things into shape.

Thanks,

Carinus

Hmm I think the difference is obvious, DG en die ander our van Gau followed the correct channels without pulling the puddy tats tail...

Carinus ja, you did email me and I emailed you back.  But I wasn't convinced that it wasn't just going to be an uitkak parade.  You may recall in my email I said:

I don't have a club or license so what would be the point?

Since SA's has passed I would still like to address those individuals at my ex club who have maintained a dodgy silence throughout.

Please email me at bobthornton.thornton20@gmail.com and perhaps hopefully we can achieve more constructive results than on this domain.
