Elvin Posted March 31, 2010 Share ?Hey Elvin' date=' cant comment on the stickers as I've only used my Park Tools ones on a mates bike and she converted to tubeless anyway but have you maybe checked the inside of your tyre for a thorn. The offending puncture causer is often left imbedded in the tyre and keeps repuncturing the tube. Just a thought.Hey Joe, where did you get that satellite dish mop? Could do with one. [/quote']Nope, the first patch leaked air out on the sides, only discovered this when I submerged the tube into water, the other one made a bubble under the patch and began to also leak air on the sides. nero123 Posted March 31, 2010 Share Nope, I've tried Park tool, those slime ones and RavX's no glue patches and found that out of about 20 used, 4 worked. And once you've used one that doen't work, its just a mess! you have to clean the area with a glue remover or something to remove the left over glue, before you can continue to repair again. Joe Low Posted March 31, 2010 Share I was wondering if sidecars on motorbikes need to be on a specific side depending which side of the road you are on. Depends on how much you want to scare the passenger. Then again, on our roads i dont spose it matters much, there's no place to hide from the horrors. Wheelsuck Posted July 8, 2010 Share @Voigt and @Mampara I had the same issue with Northwave MTB shoes, the outer sole seperated from Shoe. Got mo joy in SA, agency had gone....cat got kittens etc etc. Anyways emailed the global HQ and was asked a couple of questions and within a week: Ding,Dong DHL drops off new Northwave shoes fresh from Italy! Good news re Northwave is that it seesm that Alex from Nortcliff Cycles is now bringing them in.
LeTurbo Posted July 8, 2010 Share RavX lights = ***, buy Ryder. Compact pumps = ***, except Lenzyne. Conti Ultra = rubbish; they puncture every 5 minutes (on which subject, I found the Park Tools instant patches were good. Maybe they shouldn't sit on the shelf / in the sun too long.) Gasping Posted July 8, 2010 Share I've used a RavX one and it worked perfectly! -1 RavX only sharpened my skills at removing a tube from between the tyre & rim - di this a couple of times and then realised that there must be a hidden camera around and I am providing the entertainment. Point made earlier (page 1) rings true to me - what works for some does not work for others.

Guest Big H Posted July 8, 2010 Share When you patch a tube, whicever way you do it the preparation of the tube is extremely important. If you do not roughen it up properly no patch will stick. Also these fancy pansy patches are very suceptable to dirty hands, oil and even the talcum powder you find on tubes and sometimes inside tyre. Harry Potter Posted July 28, 2010 Share AI AI AI, The peel and stick paches are not a permanent solution, it is their to help you get home in a race or training ride. Peeps tend to make a mistake when patching, make sure the tire is not inflated when you stick on the patch, not even a bit. yes with peel and stick the tube will always be flat the next morning. I carry 1 tube and some patches with me, it helps for that 2nd puncture
