Last year we saw Mr Landis see his ring on a stage just to thrash everybody the next day.

Vino just exactly the same. Wonder what they will find on him.

Or will the lab favor him?

I think that once Vino realised he was in trouble he simply 'gave up' knowing that either way he wasn't going to win the race so he may as well lose stacks of time and he is moer free to chase victories (or to help kloden, but I dont think that Vino/Kloden/Ullrich understand what a team mate means!)

Agre with Gumpole, made sure he was so far behind nobody would chase him so at least he could win a stage or two.

Can't we just all say well done for what he has been through will crashes

Unfortunately any achievement that stands out will be suspect and questionable.

i agree, (and will probably get "taken out" on the hub for this). Ouch

Give credit where its due.

He has guts and knows how to dig deep,he rode like a machine yesterday and kicked some .....-  60 stitches and still wins a stage.. how many of us could ever dream of that?

Come on, how about for once saying:  Well done!

ok i will leave now before the onslaught..Confused

Yip, I think it's safe to say that they have enough processes in place to catch the guys out that are not playing fare......

But hell, give athis guy credit when it's deserved........He's been fighting back from the day he crashed...

Well done !!!!!!

There could be any number of reasons for Vino going backwards on sunday and coming back strong on Monday.

Firstly he may have buried himself to win the TT and not recovered fully, realised he is out of GC and decided to go for induvidual stage wins anyway.

Secondly he may be carrying an infection due to the injuries he is carrying, he probably is avoiding antibiotics due to their performance limiting charactaristices, or if he did need antibiotics to prevent his legs rotting off, they could have caused the big drop in performance.

And thirdly, and I hope I am right, no one but no one is stupid enough to dope / drug to win a stage in spectacular style after blowing the day before, anyone will know that they will be looked at with circumspection.

A great stage win from a great rider, I hope that 2 x P are wrong and he is back next year to try again.
